2005 Wind Ensemble SCSBOA festivals
The Wind ensemble is a yearlong class that is geared towards the advanced band student. Participation in this class is granted only after completing an audition. The class is recommended for the upperclassman or those with an advanced background in music. This class covers advanced concepts of listening, posture, breathing, mouth shape, embouchure, alternate fingerings, tuning, blend, balance, and characteristic sound production. A high level of musical repertoire is studied and performed. This band also frequently listens to professional recordings and attends live performances. We perform several concerts every year including our Holiday concert, Pops concert, Dinner concert, and three additional festivals in the spring.
